Students can gain hands-on experience through a number of clinics or through more than 30 externship placements at hospitals, federal and state agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

For some UMSON students, ROTC provides a pathway to a BSN degree, military commission, and career in the U.S. Army.

Beginning with the entering class of 175 students in Academic Year 2026-2027, UMSOM will gradually increase enrollment to 200 students by 2031-2032.

The 21-member commission focuses on gathering direct input from communities and translating that into policy recommendations.

The course aims to have drug developers sort through data for medications to know what drugs approved for one disease might be usable for other diseases.
